Look of Sweet
Thursday, January 12, 2006, 08:14 AM - News
Hello Symbiot Fans! It’s been a while since our last update. Well you can stop sweating, because here’s the latest scoop… We have finally finished the design phase. We are no longer going to make any more changes. SportBack has a face and it looks Sweet. We have also decided that there will be three sizes: Small, Medium and Large. Brown is currently working with our Manufacturer to ensure all three sizes accommodate MOST body types. Meanwhile, Jon is working on our woven tags and I’m working on our Insurance and Focus Group. 2006 might be the year folks… although we did say that in ’05. One thing is for sure, we’re loving every second of this…Stay tuned.

NY High Peaks, Mt. Marcy
Wednesday, November 23, 2005, 07:40 AM - Adventures
These shots are from one of our most recent trips to the High Peaks in NY. I think we were planning on staying 4 day but wussed out at after 3. It started out as a nice trip, until the weather turned bad. We still made it to the top or Mt. Marcy but it ended up pouring all day. So when we got back to our base camp we decided to eat and get out. We hiked out and returned to Ian’s cabin at Lake George.

This is a picture looking down over the trail on the way up to Marcy. You can see down in the distance is a cairn, a mound of stones piled up as a memorial or to mark a boundary or path. These are often used to mark trails over open distances.
This is a close up view of a cairn.

This is me gazing over the valley from some point on the trail up Mt. Marcy.

This is another shot between two mountain tops. You can see how bad the weather was, there was not much light or color in any of our pictures.

Here’s Ian snapping his own pics. Ian is our photographer for just about everything but candid shots. He is quite meticulous about his work, it takes him like 15min to set up for every shot if we had to wait for every pic we wouldn’t get anywhere.

This is Jon lost in a sea of drying gear back at the lake house.

Return of the pack
Tuesday, November 22, 2005, 11:18 AM - News
I spoke with our manufacturer the other day and went over our changes with them. We should be getting our final prototype back just before Christmas. It will probably be the best Christmas present we ever receive. I'm very excited.

Special Thanks
Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 10:28 PM - News
This blog would be empty and wasteful, if we didn't at least mention and thank the special friends and acquaintances that have helped us push forward. We are three very motivated individuals with a passion for an idea that is now 5 years old. And in those 5 years, we have worked our asses off to make our dream come true... but we also had some help...and you know who you are. This blog goes out to those who:

- Helped us come up with slogans
- Helped us sew
- Bought our Amazing and Wonderful T-shirts
- Gave us PR advice
- Modeled in the pack while climbing rocks and rivers
- Designed logo's
- Posted our blog
- And much more...

Thank you.

China take 2
Thursday, October 27, 2005, 12:30 AM - News
So we met last night and we all agree...the pack looks great. After making a few modifications on our last sample from a manufacturer in Chicago, we weren't sure how this latest sample would turn out. We’re pleasantly surprised to say the least. So what's next? When will you be able to see our pack in stores? Well don't hold your breath. As good as the pack looks, we still need to tweak it a bit. We're perfectionists, what can we say. So back to China where it came from...and most likely another couple of months before we see it again.

Next up...Creating our Product Launch Campaign. We'll keep you briefed as we continue working on this and other Amazing and Wonderful things...
